Massive Modak Offered To Girgaoncha Raja In Mumbai

According to Mid-Day, the massive modak offered to Girgaoncha Raja in Mumbai is 4 feet tall with a middle width of 3 feet 8 inches, and weighs about 851 kilograms. It has a base width of 2 feet 4 inches, and has been recognised as the world’s biggest modak made entirely with traditional Indian ingredients by the World Book of Records India.

Girgaoncha Raja’s organising committee joined hands with Fortune Edible Oil & Foods, Outdoor Options (a Revere Media LLP initiative), and MM Mithaiwala & Namkeen Pvt. Ltd. to make the world’s largest traditional modak for Girgaoncha Raja. Crafted with devotion and purity, the massive modak was prepared with besan (gram flour), desi ghee, sugar, and elaichi (cardamom).

While addressing the media, Girgaoncha Raja mandal’s spokesperson said, “This world-record modak is our homage to Bappa and our traditions. It represents not only devotion but also the richness of our ingredients and the dedication of our community.”
