Khalsa Aid India, the UK based charity organisation continues to provide selfless services. The NGO reached out to Covid-19 affected patients to arrange oxygen concentrators. The group will deliver concentrators to infected patients in Delhi. Healthcare facilities across Delhi continue a battle with a severe shortage of oxygen. Around 20 Covid patients in a critical care unit of Jaipur Golden Hospital passed away due to a dip in oxygen pressure at the facility. Khalsa Aid Provides Oxygen Concentrators For Covid Patients In Delhi
Khalsa Aid, in a tweet, stated, “In this unprecedented state of medical emergency, We have fortunately managed to arrange limited Oxygen concentrator for COVID-19 patients. This project will be initiated from Delhi as it is the worst affected city. Together, we will fight this situation.” According to The New Indian Express, the NGO launched a helpline for the same on April 23. It already received 1200 requests. Amarpreet Singh, director, Khalsa Aid Project revealed that they shall provide free oxygen concentrators for Covid patients in government and private hospitals, as well as those in home isolation.

How Can Delhiites Get Oxygen Concentrators From Khalsa Aid?
Singh further added that Khalsa Aid shall provide 65 oxygen concentrators in the first lot in Delhi. Moreover, they shall procure more oxygen concentrators in the coming weeks, taking the number to 100. People must fill the registration forms, have a doctor’s prescription and have a picture of oximeter readings to avail this service. Patients with low oxygen saturation levels will be given priority. Each patient will receive one concentrator for one week as per the standard operating procedure. If the patient needs it for another week, he or she must follow the same procedure.
