Malabar Literature Festival Is A 3-Day Event

Book Plus Publishers, a renowned publishing business located in Kerala will organise this three-day event. It will hold conversations on the region’s global links, bringing together various authors and professionals from around the world.

MLF is an annual meeting that serves as a platform for varied perspectives and ideas, and the inaugural edition promises to be an unforgettable event. MLF features captivating sessions, thought-provoking discussions, film exhibitions, documentary screenings, musical concerts, cultural evenings, book fairs, and enlightening heritage walks, with a diverse range of authors, activists, and global thought leaders in attendance.

With the subject ‘The Sea and the Maritime Life,’ MLF will host sessions such as ‘200 Years of Malabar Publishing,’ ‘Rejoicing Malabar,’ ‘Emerging Pop Culture in Malabar,’ and ‘Voice of Dissent’ in its inaugural session. Distant lands and littorals historically associated with Malabar will also be discussed, including Kayalpattinam, Lakshadweep, Ceylon, Gujarat, Andaman and Nicobar, Hadhramaut, Hijaz, the Malay realm, and Africa. The inaugural session will feature author Subhash Chandran’s keynote speech on ‘Kozhikode: UNESCO City of Literature.”

MLF will explore Kozhikode’s cultural legacy, among other things, in a variety of programmes. In addition, as part of the festival, numerous publishers will participate in the book fair. The festival will see the release of more than ten books from Book Plus.
