  • The iconic Kozhikode beach is the venue of the festival.
  • You can attend the event from January 11 to January 14, 2024.
  • The year 2024 marks the 7th edition of the festival.
  • This is the largest literature festival not just in India but the entire Asia.
  • Turkey is the guest country for the 2024 edition.
  • More than 500 speakers are set to grace their presence at the Kerala Literature Festival. Also, there are going to be about 200 sessions covering different topics.

Eminent personalities from all around the world such as Nobel Laureates, celebrities, and more attend the festival every year. All four days of the literary event are going to be celebrated with cultural festivities.

The inauguration ceremony of the event took place on Wednesday. Mayor Beena Philip inaugurated the organising committee meeting of the Kerala Literature Festival, according to a report by The Hindu. A. Pradeep Kumar, the former MLA presided over the grand fest on that day. Indian poet K. Satchidanandan is going to be the director of the event. Ravi DC is the chief facilitator.

Kerala’s Kozhikode Earned A UNESCO World Heritage Tag

The Kerala Literature Festival is an integral part of representing Kozhikode on a global platform. The city was named the City of Literature by the UNESCO recently. With this recognition, Kozhikode became India’s first city to earn the incredible tag and also got added to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network under the ‘Literature’ category. This renowned festival played a major role and had an immense contribution to the city getting the remarkable title. This also shows the rich literature culture of Kozhikode.
