Kuwait Airways Reschedules Flights Due To Airspace Closure; Details Inside

Regional tensions are once again plaguing the Middle East. And so Kuwait Airways has announced that it is rescheduling most of its flights. This comes after the closure of the country’s airspace on Saturday, July 18th. Here’s what the national carrier says on X.

Kuwait Airways is the national carrier of Kuwait, and it took to X to post an important statement. The national carrier of Kuwait has urged passengers to stay updated about their flight status and has mentioned that notifications and text messages will be sent directly to the phone numbers that are registered with their bookings. This will be done in case of any change that the customers need to be informed about.

Airspace Closure In Kuwait

The airline has asked its customers to reach out to its customer service team for any further enquiries. This development is taking place due to airspace closure in Kuwait. The country remains on high alert due to escalating tensions.

Earlier this morning, Kuwait sounded sirens for the fourth time as revealed by the Kuwait News Agency. Bahrain also activated its warning sirens earlier this morning.

Other Travel-Related Developments From The GCC Region

Due to the tensions in the Middle East, several other flights have also been affected. For instance, between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, flights from Dubai and Ajman to Abha continue to remain affected on Friday, July 17th. In fact, as previously reported by the Gulf News, an Etihad Airways flight to Bahrain this week had to make a return, which was later cancelled due to the situation.

With flights being affected due to the escalation of tensions, it is advisable that passengers travelling to these countries take note of the schedule posted by the airline. Not to mention, they must keep tabs on the updates from the official channels of the airline so that they can be informed in case there are any changes.
