Las Maracas crafts its tequila at NOM 1489, a respected small-batch distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It uses only two ingredients: 100% Blue Weber Agave and pure spring water. The agave is hand-harvested from volcanic soil and distilled without additives. This clean, honest approach aligns with India’s growing demand for purity and authenticity in spirits. The name ‘Las Maracas’ embodies this philosophy—simple yet powerful, much like the maraca itself, a small percussion instrument that brings rhythm and energy to any celebration.
La Maracas: Three Flavours, One Purpose
The brand offers three distinct expressions. Las Maracas Blanco is crisp, with bold agave flavour and hints of pepper and clove—perfect for those who enjoy the raw spirit. Las Maracas Reposado brings warmth and smoothness, aged in oak barrels with subtle caramel notes. For a richer taste, Las Maracas Añejo is aged for 18 months, developing deep flavours of vanilla and toasted oak. Each version caters to a different mood and moment, but all stay true to the essence of premium tequila.
Beyond The Drink
Las Maracas goes beyond the drink itself. It serves as a means for creative and cultural co-creation. Collaborations include designer Varun Bahl, who designed custom uniforms, and potters from Khurja, who handcrafted traditional Mexican-style clay copitas. Founder Shivankar Bahl drew inspiration from the warmth and hospitality he experienced in Mexico, which reminded him of home in India. This shared spirit of togetherness defines Las Maracas—celebration, tradition, and quality.
