Leh-Manali National Highway Reopens After 5 Months
The Leh-Manali National Highway has finally reopened. The highway has been closed since November 2023 due to heavy snowfall. Now, after a successful snow clearance operation by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the 428-km Leh-Manali National Highway is open for traffic.
According to an official statement by BRO, the challenging task of clearing the snow was completed by two snow clearance teams. They worked “simultaneously and in sync, comprising highly skilled manpower and state-of-the-art machines” to complete this difficult task.
