As mentioned above, flydubai plans to soon introduce direct flights between Dubai and Sardinia. For those who aren’t aware, Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Moreover, flydubai is a Dubai-based carrier and the plan is to fly thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In case you’re wondering, these flights will operate directly between Dubai International Airport and Cagliari, which is Sardinia’s regional capital from June 22. This is a great new development as you already know that UAE citizens can stay in Italy for up to 90 days without a visa in Italy.

What Can You Do In Sardinia?
At this point, it’s also worth mentioning that Sardinia is also taking part in the ongoing Arabian Travel Market that’s happening at the Dubai World Trade Centre till May 4. Italy is one of the top choices for people in the UAE as they are often looking to escape the scorching desert temperatures for much milder and more pleasant weather. Not to mention, there are several places to visit in this country that draws in hordes of tourists. Talking about Sardinia, there are sandy beaches and mountains to fascinating rock formations, called nuraghi, leaving something for everyone. Coming to Cagliari, which is where the flight by flydubai will be headed, it is known for the hilltop Castello, which is the mediaeval walled quarter that rises high over the rest of the town. There are several architectural highlights here, which give you a glimpse of the bygone era. Often known as one of the best places in the world to visit, there are some pretty interesting things for tourists to do here.
