Amid numerous restrictions and cancelled flights, travel came to a standstill in the last few years. However, the world is slowly hitting normalcy again after the long pandemic break. People are now all set to relax and unwind on beaches, mountains, and monuments across the globe. Mauritius is one of the most sought-after destinations on travellers’ minds. And Lux Island Resorts Ltd. brings in good news for all travel enthusiasts!

The Lux Island Resorts Ltd. is welcoming tourists once again after the COVID-19 curbs eased. They are the biggest hotel operator in Mauritius by market value. According to the latest reports, the resort is witnessing a massive tourist influx and is once again profitable since June 2022.

Revenue Tripled To 6.8 Billion

With tourists resuming travel, hotels and resorts are making huge profits. A similar situation is seen with the biggest hotel operator in Mauritius, Lux Island Resorts Ltd. The net income of the resort was 478.7 million rupees ($10.5 million), compared to 1.03 billion rupees in 2021.

This data was provided by a stock exchange statement on Wednesday. The reports say that revenue almost tripled to 6.8 billion rupees. Speaking about the same, a representative revealed that the in-hand bookings of all the hotels during the first quarter of the financial year ending June 30, 2023, were very satisfactory.
