Now, you might hear Vande Mataram instead of Hello from the other side! The Maharashtra Government informed that the government officials will have to answer phones and say ‘Vande Mataram’ and an official notification will be issued on August 18, regarding the same. The cultural minister of the state said that he wished for people to say Vande Mataram instead of Hello, as India is celebrating its 76th year of Independence this year.
Not Hello, Say Vande Mataram
The minister, Sudhir Mungantiwar told the media,’ I want all government officials in the state to say ‘Vande Mataram’ till January 26 next year’. So, you can think that eventually people might do away with saying Hello altogether and stick to saying Vande Mataram. This is being done considering India is celebrating 75 years of independence this year.
