This Korean Chef Makes Special Kimchi Paratha And The Internet Is Impressed

We Indians love paratha. We see different food content creators try their combinations and mix various ingredients and prepare parathas. Even street food stalls have up their game and are going creative by the day to grab our attention and serve unique foods. Recently, a Korean Chef tried his hands at combining paratha with the Korean staple, Kimchi. Kimchi is a traditional dish, usually prepared by fermenting veggies like cabbage, with chillies, sauces, and garlic. It has a sour, spicy taste and is a preferred dish among Koreans.

Kimchi Paratha – A Unique Combo Of Indian & Korean

This Korean Chef works in New Delhi and goes by the name Kim jiyeol. Hailing from Korea, this Korean Chef’s favourite dish is dosa. And, now, as he lives and works in New Delhi, he is giving a Korean twist to Indian dishes. And honestly, we are loving his experiments. This particular recipe of using Kimchi to prepare paratha is surely making us think of trying it out. What you’ll really love about his cooking videos, is that they are in Hindi. And, we are so impressed with the way he speaks Hindi, with a Korean accent.

Kim begins preparing the dough for the paratha and then uses the Kimchi as a filling for the Indian paratha. He writes how usually a paratha is enjoyed with pickles, but with the Kimchi combo, it’s different. Well, this is what he wrote in the caption, ‘Hi, I today make Kimchi #paratha , last for their peoples complaned with the dough ,so i using hot water this time.. Kim jiyeol is nailing it with his various combinations of kimchi with other Indian dishes. He recently prepared the Korean dish, Kim Bap which had our India’s Tiranga colours on it. He tells how South Korea’s independence day is the same as India’s – August 15. We love how, he says ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jaay’ in the end of the video, while holding the Tiranga-coloured kim bap.
