T20 World Cup Final: Special Trains Announced Between Mumbai & Ahmedabad, Check Time & Route

With the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Indians are finding it difficult to stay calm. And since India has now made it to the finals, the excitement is at an all-time high. Team India will now face New Zealand on March 8 in Ahmedabad. For this, Western Railway has announced Superfast Special Trains between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad. Special Trains To Ahmedabad For T20 World Cup Final 

Are you ready to head to Ahmedabad for the ICC T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand? The finale will be held on Sunday, March 8, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. According to News18, Team India has already arrived in Ahmedabad for the match. Thousands of fans are expected to turn up in the city soon.

For the convenience of passengers and to meet the high travel demand, Western Railway has made an important announcement. They will run ‘Superfast Special Trains’ on special fares between Mumbai Central and Ahmedabad. These trains will make it easier for fans to reach the venue and watch the T20 World Cup final live.

Train Timings And Halts You Should Know

Here are the details of the Superfast Special Trains you should know.

• Train No. 09027 will depart from Mumbai Central on March 7, 2026, at 11:45 pm. The train will reach Ahmedabad at 8:30 am the next morning.
• Train No. 09028 will depart from Ahmedabad on March 9, 2026, at 3 am. It will arrive at Mumbai Central at 11:15 am the same day.

These trains will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, and Vadodara in both directions.

• Train No. 09021 will leave Mumbai Central on March 8, 2026, at 6:20 am. It will reach Ahmedabad at 12:40 pm the same day.
• Train No. 09022 will depart from Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 8, at 3 pm. It will reach Mumbai Central at 9:45 pm the same day.

These trains will also halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, and Vadodara stations.

According to Mid-Day, passengers can book their tickets at all PRS counters or through the IRCTC website. They can also visit the official Indian Railways Enquiry website to know more details about these Superfast Special Trains.
