14 Special Trains Across Pune, Mumbai & Solapur To Become Regular; Fares Expected To Drop

When it comes to affordable travel in India, trains have always been the best option. Now, you’ll probably have a smile on your face knowing that Central Railway has decided to regularise several special trains for passengers travelling from Pune, Mumbai, and nearby regions. Special Trains From Mumbai, Pune & Solapur To Be Regularised

Central Railway is planning to convert 14 already running special trains into regular services. These trains operate across Pune, Mumbai, and Solapur. This change is expected to bring relief to passengers because they will no longer have to pay the higher fares that usually apply to special trains.

The trains set to become regular services include the Pune-Kolhapur Sahyadri Express, the Hadapsar-Harangul Express, and the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express. These have been among the most widely used special train services for a long time.

Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express is a popular choice for people travelling. As per Hindustan Times, this train will begin regular operations on June 27. Whether it’s migrant workers heading home, students travelling for studies, or families visiting loved ones, many passengers rely on this train.

Railway Authorities Shift Origin Stations Of Several Trains

Along with regularising special train services, railway authorities also changed the originating station from Pune Junction to other stations such as Khadki and Hadapsar. This decision has raised concern among passengers.

Hindustan Times reported that the Sahyadri Express will now be the Khadki-Kolhapur Express. Similarly, the Hadapsar-Harangul service will continue to operate from Hadapsar station. Several passengers feel that Pune Junction is more convenient because it is easier to access from different parts of the city.

The Sahyadri Express will now run as the Khadki-Kolhapur. The train will leave Khadki every day at 9 PM and reach Kolhapur at 5:40 AM. In return, it will depart from Kolhapur at 9.50 pm and arrive in Khadki at 5:08 AM.

The Hadapsar-Harangul Express will regularly depart from Hadapsar at 6:10 AM and reach Harangul at 1:05 PM. In return, the train will leave Harangul at 3 PM and reach Hadapsar at 9 PM.
