Maharashtra Tourism recently announced some fantastic offers for the post-covid world. From caravan travel to Goan-style beach shacks, the initiatives taken by the government to boost the tourism sector is making us super happy. Along with the bars and restaurants in Maharashtra, the tour operators also got the green signal to resume its operations. As a part of Mission Begin Again, both tour operators and tourists will have to abide by the following rules and regulations.

1. City Tours & Heritage Walks In Weekends Only

The famous city tours and heritage walks in Mumbai should only be held during the weekends in time slots when it is less crowded. While operators are allowed to have any number of participants, there should be no more than ten tourists per guide.

2. Coach Tours Not Allowed

Tour operators should only conduct tours in areas with fewer pedestrians. This rule makes sense, given that it can be difficult to maintain social distancing in a crowded place. 3. Tour Guides Should Use Mini Loudspeakers

You must have seen mini-loud speakers used in the guided tours in Europe. Now guides should use mini loudspeakers in Mumbai too! It will help entail social distancing disseminate information during the trips.

4. Only 3 Passengers Will Be Allowed In Tourist Vehicles

5. Tourists Will Have To Abide By COVID-19 Rules

Tourists should abide by every instruction from the guide. Local authorities will have the right to restrict any tourist flouting rules. Other protocols such as temperature screening, maintaining social distancing and consent from travellers to share details with authorities for contact-tracing will be in place.

Apart from these, tour operators and tourists will have to follow the guidelines related to social distancing and sanitisation strictly. Tour operators are expected to train their staff regarding these guidelines.
