Man Orders Camera From Amazon India, Receives Package Without It

Shubham Agrawal (@bhav_paaji) ordered three items from Amazon India worth ₹43,801. His order included a GoPro Hero 13 Special Bundle that is worth ₹39,990. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he said, “Never ordering from Amazon again!!” He explained that all three products were shipping together and his watchman received his package as he wasn’t available during the time of delivery.
Also the packaging looks fishy to me.

When he opened the package, he found that his GoPro camera was missing. He contacted Amazon India’s customer care to file a complaint but they told him that the product had been marked as “delivered” on their platform and they can’t provide “replacement or refund” for the order. Shubham even shared a screenshot of the conversation with customer care.
He further pointed out that the packaging of the order “looks fishy,” He said, “It’s definitely tampered, the sticker on the parcel clearly mentions the weight of it and it is 1.28 kg but the parcel I received only weighs 650 grams so clearly the GoPro is missing.” He asked Amazon to look into the matter.

On Amazon, I feel no one is tracking what happens after someone returns a product and checks if it’s been tampered with.

Sorry to hear this, this happened with me in past,i had ordered robo vaccum and there were 2 pillows in it, the package looked suspicious to me and hence i had recorded the unboxing, i raised complaint with amazon cust care, they initiated investigation and refunded total amt.

Things I’ve learned by other’s experiences
1. Never skip ‘open box inspection’ for valuable orders.
2. Don’t share your otp until you are sure with your order.
3. If there is no Open box inspection, simply make a video of unboxing.
