A massive fire broke out in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area, Shiravane in Navi Mumbai on Friday night. Firefighters rushed to the scene to douse the blaze. However, as per the latest update, the fire is still not under control. Around 12 fire tenders are at the site, and dousing operations are still underway.
Fire Erupts In Navi Mumbai’s MIDC Area
On Friday night, around 11 PM, a fire erupted at Subodha Company in the MIDC area of Navi Mumbai. Massive flames engulfed the polymer factory with thick smoke visible from afar. According to Hindustan Times, the fire brigade rushed to the spot soon after to control the fire.
While talking to the media, Fire Officer SL Patil revealed that 12 fire engines are at the spot right now. He also assured that no injuries have been reported so far. While the reason behind the fire is still not known, dousing operations are underway. The fire was so massive that despite hours of effort, it was still not under control.

Another Fire Broke Out In Mumbai’s Andheri
A day before the massive fire broke out in Navi Mumbai’s MIDC, another fire incident took place at an industry near Mahakali Caves in Mumbai’s Andheri area. In a separate incident, a fire broke out in multiple furniture shops at Azad Chowk in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Thursday. Thankfully, fire tenders rushed to the spot and were successfully able to control the fire on time in both cases. Also, no injuries or casualties were reported.
