If you have grown up watching MasterChef Australia, then these two folks need no introduction! Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan have been two of the most-loved judges of the show and they made a generation fall in love with MasterChef Australia. And now, they’re visiting India with their first pit stop being Delhi – the city known for its culinary delights. The much-loved duo shared a reel on Instagram where they were seen walking around Old Delhi and gobbling on some popular street food there.

Former MasterChef Australia judges, Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan were in Delhi recently and they did what they love most – eat! In a reel shared on Instagram, the duo were seen exploring and eating popular street foods of Purani Dilli with a bunch of other people. They visited the iconic Jama Masjid and Jain Mandir as well. Matt described the Jain Mandir as “an oasis of calm and beauty.”

They even visited Khari Baoli – Asia’s biggest spice market. Matt posted another reel about this visit and talked about his “obsession with the doorways and spices of old Delhi as food – especially kesuri methi!”

Food Matt Preston & Gary Mehigan Tried While Exploring Old Delhi

Now, coming to what these folks actually ate while visiting Old Delhi. They made sure to try all the best and popular street food in the area. Matt Preston and Gary Mehigan had everything from Daulat ki chaat and nankhatai to Old Delhi’s popular parathe and sandwiches. They even tried out chole kulche while they were there. Safe to say, they definitely tried everything good there.

They described Daulat ki chaat as “light as air” and the nankhatai as “so crumbly”. For them, the makhan sandwiches with roast ground cumin and black salt were a “revelation”.
