The Ganga Expressway project is progressing as planned, with the developers having finished 25 per cent of the earthwork in just five months. By December 2024, the expressway, which is being constructed under a public-private partnership (PPP), should be completed. From Meerut to Prayagraj, the expressway will run through 12 of the state’s districts. It is anticipated to give the area’s economy the much-needed boost it needs and will also make it simpler for pilgrims to go to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela.

The government has instructed the developers to finish the project by the end of 2024, despite the initial completion date being set for December 2025. If the developers are successful in meeting the deadline, they will receive financial rewards. The completion of the Ganga Expressway will be a significant accomplishment for the government of Uttar Pradesh and will contribute to the state’s promotion as a modern and forward-thinking travel destination.
