1. Shillong, Meghalaya

Known as the “Scotland of the East,” Shillong’s rolling hills and pine-covered slopes make it a refreshing escape. According to NDTV, with an AQI of between 17 to 30, the air here is crisp and clean. Visitors can enjoy peaceful walks around Ward’s Lake, breathtaking views from Shillong Peak, and cultural insights at Don Bosco Museum. October to April is ideal for outdoor activities.

2. Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu

4. Madikeri, Karnataka
