The centre will be a significant contributor to the region’s endeavours in research and conservation under the direction of a group of committed marine scientists, zoologists, and content experts in research, rescue, and animal care. The research group at the centre will carry out foundational and applied studies with a focus on the marine science of the Arabian Gulf. These studies will address issues like fisheries, pollution, and the health of wildlife as well as topics like marine biodiversity, ecosystem adaptability, preservation of resilient wildlife, and recovery of conservation areas.

Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue is open round-the-clock. Anytime, anywhere, any ill or hurt marine animal can count on their assistance.

The ultimate objective is to successfully rehabilitate every animal so that it has the best possibility of returning to its native habitat.

The centre is continually forming the local alliances required to run a successful rescue network. In addition to having state-of-the-art machinery to care for all the living creatures in our centre. It includes one of the few animal CT devices in zoological facilities worldwide as well as specialised rehabilitation facilities with UV lighting that imitates natural sunlight. They also have lifeboats and specialised equipment to mobilise rapidly and get to rescue sites instantly.
