1. Aloo Methi Bhaji

Craving a comforting lunch? Aloo Methi Bhaji is just the perfect cosy sabzi to try! To make methi bhaji, sauté onions, green chilli and garlic in a little oil. Add turmeric, hing and small potato cubes, then cook for a couple of minutes. Mix in chopped methi leaves and salt, cover, and let it steam till the potatoes soften. Finish with grated coconut and serve hot with chapati or rice.

2. Methi Thepla

Are you a thepla lover just like us? Then methi thepla can be the perfect breakfast or dinner for you. To make methi thepla, mix whole wheat flour, besan, millet flours, spices, oil, curd, and finely chopped methi to form a soft dough. Take a small portion of dough and then use a belan to make a round roti-like shape. Cook each on a hot tawa, adding a little oil on both sides until golden. That’s it! Serve them warm with curd, pickle, or chutney.

This winter, if you’re in the mood for a hot snack, then methi na gota is just right. Methi na Gota is a popular Gujarati snack made with finely chopped methi, gram flour, spices, and a little semolina. You mix everything into a thick batter and drop small portions into hot oil. The gota puff up into soft, fluffy fritters with a light spice kick. Enjoy them hot with chutney for a perfect evening snack.

4. Methi Matar Malai

Methi Matar Malai is a creamy North Indian dish made by sautéing fresh methi leaves with peas, spices, and a smooth onion-cashew paste. Everything cooks together into a mild, rich gravy finished with a little cream. It’s comforting, slightly sweet, and perfect with roti, naan, or rice.

5. Methi Muthiya

Methi Muthiya is a Gujarati snack made with chopped methi, gram flour, spices, and a splash of lemon. Mix everything into a soft dough, shape it into rolls, and steam them until firm.
