1. Uber Opens Dedicated Waiting Lounge At T3 Of DXB

Uber has collaborated with Dubai Airports to open a dedicated passenger waiting lounge at Terminal 3 of DXB. This is a fully climate-controlled facility which provides Uber and Careem app users with a comfortable and seamless pick-up experience. The aim is to maintain the distinctive urban appearance of Dubai and use the waiting time for passengers.
2. NCW Documents The First Birth Of Striped Hyena
National Centre for Wildlife, in collaboration with NEOM, documented the first birth of a striped hyena. This follows the introduction of two breeding pairs into the NEOM Nature Reserve. The birth indicates hyenas’ successful adoption into the reserve. It marks another milestone in the NCW’s wildlife breeding and reintroduction programmes.
3. New Award Launched By Abu Dhabi To Recognise Tourism Excellence
As announced by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, it has launched the Visitor Experience Awards. This award basically recognises organisations and frontline professionals who have helped in delivering high-quality experiences. 400+ tourism and cultural organisations have been invited to take part! This year, 24 winners will be announced.

4. Sharjah RTA Announces Road Closure
Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority recently announced a full road closure. This is the direction extending from Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Bu Alian Square to Saeed bin Obaid Al Jarwan Square. It is part of the road maintenance and infrastructure development works. This road closure will be in place from August 19th to 21st.
5. The Inaugural Dhofar Sculpture Festival Is Underway
There’s a new cultural event that’s currently underway in Dhofar, this Khareef Season, called Dhofar International Sculpture Festival. It brings together Omani artists and 15 international sculptors. As revealed by Muscat Daily, the event is underway until September 3rd.
