The revamped aquarium reopens on Monday, October 27, after a short hiatus. Tickets are about to hit online, but here’s the thing: this isn’t your typical “walk past a few tanks” visit. You’re stepping into a story, a full-on adventure. Kids, adults, thrill-seekers, everyone leaves grinning like they’ve uncovered hidden treasure.
An Underwater Adventure Like No Other
Walk inside, and it hits immediately, a sensory overload, in the best way. Thousands of LED panels flicker, over a hundred speakers hum, and suddenly, you’re not just watching fish; you’re gliding through a fantasy ocean. Every shimmer and ripple feels alive.
There are 14 rooms, each telling a unique underwater tale. Interactive moments, original music composed just for the space, and whimsical visuals make you pause, stare, and maybe even giggle like a kid discovering a secret world. It’s immersive, yes, but above all, it’s fun. Expect to gasp, laugh, and yes, snap a few selfies while you’re at it.
Mermaids, Tridents And Hidden Secrets
The Ambassador Lagoon now hosts live mermaid performances. Five performers hold their breath, spin elegantly, and bring stories to life with dance and music. It’s theatrical, hypnotic, and utterly captivating.
For those who like hands-on fun, the Interactive Trident is a game-changer. Wave it in select rooms, and it unlocks secret messages and multi-sensory effects. Suddenly, exploring the aquarium feels like a real treasure hunt, not just a stroll past tanks.
Education here doesn’t feel like school. Interactive displays let you learn about marine life while having fun. Behind-the-scenes tours show how the animals are cared for, and conservation tips make you feel like you could actually make a difference.
Animal welfare is taken seriously. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the revamp introduced 430 new animals from 35 species, including the Striated Frogfish, Axolotl, and Giant Pacific Octopus. There are 19 new habitats, each designed to mirror the diversity of real oceans.
