1. Oman Opens Hajj 2027 Registration

Oman has announced that it has opened Hajj registrations. Yes, it mentions that the country’s electronic system, hajj.om will accept applications from September 28th until October 11th. Citizens and eligible residents who wish to perform Hajj would want to submit their applications within the announced registration period.

2. Qatar Airways Wins Four Skytrax Awards

Qatar Airways, which is based out of Doha’s Hamad International Airport, needs no introduction. It has won four world airline awards at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2026. These titles were for the World’s Best Business Class, Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class, Lounge, and World’s Best onboard Wi-Fi.

3. Muttrah Cable Car May Open By The End Of 2026

Muttrah cable car project is expected to open by 2026 end, as mentioned by Muscat Daily. It is being developed not just as a transport facility, but also offers stations that give visitors a chance to experience cultural, leisure and entertainment offerings.

4. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Passes Away

Dubai has declared 10 days of mourning for Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the younger brother of Dubai’s Ruler. He passed away on Monday morning. It should be noted that the flags will fly at half-mast throughout the mourning period.

5. Air Arabia-Led Saudi Carrier Starts Dammam Flight

The new national budget carrier in Saudi Arabia, led by an Air Arabia consortium, has launched operations from Dammam’s King Fahd International Airport. It starts with domestic flights to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Medinah.
