The UAE National Day is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show, and emirates across the UAE are busy preparing for the 54th Eid al-Etihad. Celebrating over five decades of unity, growth and shared national experience, the celebrations continue to push ahead with ambitious development plans and even maintain a firm commitment to a future that is shaped by innovation, stability and openness. Sharjah has also announced an extensive list of artistic and community activities to mark the celebrations.
Eid al-Etihad Celebrations To Happen In Sharjah
As revealed in a report of Gulf News, Eid al-Etihad celebrations in Sharjah will run from November 19th to December 2nd. It would bring residents and visitors together for a wide range of events. These would be celebrated across the parks, heritage sites and popular destinations in the emirate. With the aim of highlighting the rich heritage of the nation, the schedule has been planned to showcase its modern identity and diverse communities. Additionally, it aims to focus on the country’s history, traditions, and achievements.
It Will Take Place At Local Parks Across The Region
With the participation expected from all age groups, cultural organisations, local families, and youth communities, it’s bound to be a grand affair. The main celebration venues are located across the emirate, and they will be taking place at the following locations:
- Al Siyouh Family Park
- Kshisha Park
- Sharjah National Park
- Al Layyah Canal
Additionally, the celebrations will be extended to other regions of –
- Al Dhaid
- Al Batayeh
- Kalba
- Khorfakkan
- Dibba Al Hisn
- Al Hamriyah
- Al Madam
- Wadi Al Helo
- Mleiha
- Al Khrous
It should be noted that the activities at Al Rifa’a Park will be running throughout the festive period.

A Glimpse Of Events Planned
In case you’re wondering about the highlights from the main venues, this includes the following:
- The opening ceremony will take place on November 19th at 5 PM at Al Siyouh Family Park. This would feature folk performances, competitions, youth dialogue sessions, and artistic shows. The park will remain active for celebrations until December.
- At Kshisha Park, there will be traditional performances, competitions, community workshops, and a children’s show that is bound to bring families together.
- Not only this, Al Layyah Canal will also be hosting National Day activities for the first time from November 28th to December 2nd. This is a new waterfront venue where you can find national performances, children’s workshops, family, business stalls, and youth project showcases.
- Another key venue, which is Sharjah National Park, will host cultural performances, youth panels, children’s entertainment, and competitions. With the aim of being transformed into a community village, it will also showcase heritage displays, food stalls, and more that will keep people engaged. Finally, on November 29th, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host a special musical evening, which will feature Hussain Al Jassmi and Fouad Abdelwahad.
