Dubai’s summer basically forces people into two choices. Either stay indoors and do nothing, or find air-conditioned ways to pretend you’re still active. Dubai Sports World is returning this year. The indoor sports venue officially opens on Friday, June 19 and runs until August 25, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Dubai Sports World Is Back With Padel, Football & Indoor Fitness
This marks its 16th edition, which feels slightly wild considering how long it’s quietly been part of Dubai summers now. And yes, the whole thing is indoors with full AC. Visitors will be able to book courts for football, basketball, cricket, badminton, tennis, pickleball, padel, and table tennis throughout the summer. So whether someone’s deeply committed to fitness or just trying to survive group chats where friends keep saying “let’s stay active this year”, there’s probably something here for them. Also, there’s a gym, a fitness studio, and even a jogging track inside the venue.
Families Aren’t Being Left Out Either
One thing Dubai Sports World keeps doing well is making sure it doesn’t only cater to hardcore athletes.
Dubai Kids World is returning too, which honestly matters more for parents trying to entertain children during school holidays. The space includes soft play areas, trampolines, inflatable slides, adventure zones, and arts activities. So technically, kids can burn energy indoors while parents pretend they came for fitness.
There are also sports academies and training sessions available for children wanting to learn different games properly over the summer break.

The Dubai Mallathon Is Also Coming Back
Alongside Dubai Sports World, the Dubai Mallathon will return this summer too.
The walking event starts earlier than Sports World, running from June 15 until September 15. It gives residents designated indoor walking tracks inside malls across the city from 7 am to 10 am daily.
People can choose between 2.5km, 5km, or even 10km distances. Or just casually walk while convincing themselves it counts as cardio.
