If you’re serious about coffee, Blue Tokai Dubai has something brewing. The speciality coffee brand is hosting a three-day celebration at its BurJuman Mall café from August 17 to 19, bringing together baristas, coffee enthusiasts and curious first-timers for a closer look at India’s speciality coffee culture.
Blue Tokai Dubai’s 3-Day Coffee Celebration
Things kick off on August 17 with a Latte Art Throwdown, where baristas will go head-to-head to create their best pours under pressure. The competition comes with AED 3,000 in cash prizes, making it one to watch whether you’re a seasoned coffee drinker or simply fascinated by the craft behind that perfect rosette.
The second day takes a more intimate turn.
An Omakase-Style Coffee Journey With Suhas Dwarkanath
On August 18, Indian Barista Champion Suhas Dwarkanath will lead an omakase-inspired coffee experience. Instead of a conventional tasting, guests can expect a curated, story-led journey through a selection of Indian coffees.
Dwarkanath will take guests through the producers, roasting styles and flavour profiles behind each cup, offering a closer look at what makes India’s coffee-growing regions so distinctive.
Cupping And Stories From Indian Estates
The series wraps up on August 19 with Indian Coffee Cupping & Stories From Indian Estates. The guided session will explore the range of flavours, aromas and processing methods found across India’s speciality coffee landscape.
Guests will also hear the stories behind the estates, producers and regions responsible for each coffee, making it as much about provenance as it is about what’s in the cup.

A Closer Look At India’s Coffee Culture
Blue Tokai opened its first UAE café at BurJuman Mall earlier this year, marking the brand’s entry into the GCC. The café brings its farm-to-cup approach to Dubai, with single-estate coffees from India, seasonal offerings, signature blends and different brewing methods.
This three-day celebration builds on that introduction by giving Dubai’s coffee community a deeper look at Indian speciality coffee, from barista craft and brewing techniques to the producers and regions behind every cup.
