Jumeirah Burj Al Arab To Undergo 18-Month Restoration
As revealed further in a report of The National News, this hotel, which is one of the most iconic jewels of the Dubai skyline, has temporarily closed. This is to facilitate restoration work, which would be led by French interior architect Tristan Auer. The project, which has been in planning for two years, is one that seems to be of restraint. Instead of a dramatic transformation, guests will get to see a near-invisible evolution that would enhance the experience without altering the identity of the hotel.
For those who are wondering, Jumeirah Burj Al Arab opened in 1999. In December 2024, it will celebrate its 25th anniversary. This property is regarded as the world’s most luxurious and is sometimes even referred to as the ‘Dubai Sail’.

First Facelift Since Opening
As revealed further by the Gulf News, this is the first facelift that the hotel will be receiving ever since it opened in 1999. The hotel, which is owned by Jumeirah, which is a subsidiary of Dubai Holding, mentions how the renovation is aimed at preserving one of the most famous symbols of Dubai. This work would focus on conserving and enhancing the property’s distinctive interiors. Not to mention, it will also be aimed at maintaining uninterrupted standards of luxury hospitality. With the hotel redefining luxury hospitality in the region, this hotel has 198 luxury suites, which are known for their marvellous interiors.
From gold leaf and Swarovski crystals to marble, each has been designed to stand out as the epitome of luxury living.
