The UAE passport is already famous for its strength. According to the recent list published by Henley & Partners, it has climbed eight places and now ranks second globally. In fact, it ranks first in the Middle East on the list of the world’s most powerful passports. Here’s all you need to know about this big development that’s bound to leave you feeling proud.
UAE Has The Second Strongest Passport In The World
According to the list of the world’s most powerful passports, which was recently published by Henley & Partners, Emirati passports now rank in second position. Basically, passport holders of this country can travel to 187 destinations without any need for a prior visa. The passport has advanced 36 places over the last decade, and it has risen from the 30th position in 2016 to the current second position. It shares the second spot with Japan and South Korea and ranks first in the Middle East under the 2026 list.

It should be noted that this ranking is based on the number of destinations that the passport holders can access without any prior need for a visa. With the official data drawn from the International Air Transport Association, it’s worth mentioning that Singapore has continued to retain the top spot globally, as it offers visa-free access to 192 destinations.
