Brand Dubai has launched a community camping experience as a part of Hatta Festival 2025. The event will be located amidst the Hatta Mountains, bringing over 50 participants for the weekend. It will be inclusive of outdoor learning and shared activities, as mentioned in a report by Gulf News. The programme featured guided nature hikes, environmental awareness sessions, and hands-on camping near Suhaila Lakes. Evening activities included interactive astronomy talks and live stargazing at Hatta.

2. Abu Dhabi Police Alert Motorcyclists To Follow Rules This Winter

Abu Dhabi police, under their ‘Our Winter Is Safe and Enjoyable’ campaign has alerted drivers to follow safety rules to avoid penalties. Motorcyclists would be required to fit a third licence plate, proper lights, warning signals, reflective stickers, and use hazard lights when transporting motorcycles on trailers. Drivers must stay in the right lane and ensure trailers meet size limits according to Gulf Today. Failure to follow the assigned rules might levy fines of AED1,000 for unsafe towing, AED500 for missing lights, and AED for obscured licence plates.

3. Qatar Set To Experience Cold Wave Starting Next Week

From December 30th 2025, Qatar might witness a cold wave, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department. As mentioned in a report by Peninsula Qatar, the temperatures will drop and might continue over the week. Persistent northwesterly winds will contribute to the cooler weather across the country.

4. Bahrain Announces Official Holiday On January 1st 2026

Bahrain has officially announced a public holiday on January 1st 2026, for all government ministries, departments and public institutions, according to the Times of India. The news was confirmed through an official circular issued by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. With this leave, citizens would observe the start of the new year in a relaxed mode. Also, it aligns with the tradition of the country to mark the New Year with a public holiday.

5. Muscat Municipality In Oman Launches Food Truck Destination For Safer Operations

Oman is elevating street food with the launch of a dedicated food truck destination in Al Mawaleh in Muscat. The initiative has been launched by Muscat Municipality and introduced under the ‘Masar’ initiative, as mentioned by the Times of India. The aim is to support small and medium food businesses by providing a regulated, fully serviced space to operate food trucks legally.
