Residents across the Gulf are in for a turbulent weather week. While the UAE prepares for rising temperatures and dusty winds, Saudi Arabia continues to battle thunderstorms, flash flood risks, and strong winds sweeping across multiple regions.
Gulf Weather: UAE Temperatures Set To Rise As Saudi Arabia Faces Heavy Storm Warnings
The changing weather pattern has already triggered warnings from authorities across the region. As per the Gulf News, forecast channels say the UAE will remain mostly fair to partly cloudy through the weekend before temperatures climb further early next week.
UAE To See Hotter Days And Dusty Winds
The National Centre of Meteorology has forecast fair to partly cloudy skies across the UAE, with occasional cloud cover expected over eastern regions. Temperatures inland could hit between 38°C and 43°C in the coming days, while coastal areas may see highs between 31°C and 36°C.
Winds will shift between north-easterly and north-westerly directions, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h at times. That could stir dust in exposed areas, especially across the northern and eastern parts of the country. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf may also become rough at times, particularly during the mornings. By Tuesday, temperatures are expected to climb even further before conditions stabilise slightly by midweek.
Saudi Arabia Issues Flash Flood Warnings
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Civil Defence has urged residents across Saudi Arabia to remain cautious as thunderstorms continue across the Kingdom until Tuesday.
Authorities warned people to avoid valleys and flood-prone areas where water levels can rise suddenly. Residents have also been advised not to swim in wadis due to dangerous flash flood risks. Heavy rain and strong winds recently hit Riyadh, reducing visibility and causing unstable road conditions in several areas. Officials also warned about possible hailstorms and flooding in low-lying regions.

The Meteorological Department in Kuwait says that scattered rain will continue through the weekend, with conditions getting worse from Friday night to Sunday morning. The forecast informs that thunderstorms and dusty winds could hit open areas, and fog in the evening could make it hard to see in some places.
Across the Gulf, weather officials are telling people to stay informed through official channels because conditions are still unpredictable in some areas.
