The Union of Cooperative Societies has been directed to circulate the new instructions to every cooperative society operating in Kuwait and to provide the ministry with documented evidence that the measures have been carried out.
Cooperatives have also been given 30 days to submit a full list of employees covered by the decision, giving the ministry a clear paper trail on how the rule is being implemented on the ground.
Why The Age Threshold Is Being Lowered
The ministry said the move is designed to regulate employment across Kuwait’s cooperative sector, support workforce replacement planning, and open up positions for young, qualified Kuwaiti talent entering the job market.
