How To Check Eligibility For A Visa-Free Entry To The UAE?
It’s quite easy to check your eligibility for a visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival or whether you are someone who needs to apply for a UAE tourist visa in advance.
For this, all you need to do is visit the official MOFA visa exemption page, which is www.mofa.gov.ae/en/visa-exemptions-for-non-citizen.
After this, you must scroll down to the search bar or even use the interactive map, which helps select your country.
Once this is done, you will see either of the following results: visa-free or visa required.
If you are eligible for a visa-free entry to the UAE, how long can you stay? Well, your country’s passport might either allow you to stay for a visa-on-arrival for 30 days or 90 days.
What About Indian Passport Holders?
Well, Indian citizens and their families who hold an ordinary passport can get a visa-on-arrival at all the UAE entry points. However, they can do so only if:
- They should have a valid tourist visa, residence permit, or green card that has been issued by the United States.
- They must have a valid tourist visa or a residence permit issued by an EU country or the United Kingdom
- A person must have a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, or New Zealand.

What If You Are Not Eligible For Visa-Free Entry?
Well, in such cases, you can still visit the UAE; however, you will need to apply for a tourist visa in advance.
- Applying for a tourist visa is quite simple, and you can do so in a number of ways.
- You can apply through a UAE-based airline, such as Emirates, flydubai, Etihad Airways, or Air Arabia
- Book through a UAE-licensed travel agency or tour operator.
- Get sponsored by a UAE resident, which could either be a family member or a friend.
Tourist visas are available for 14, 30, and 90 days, depending on your application method and travel purpose.
So, if you are planning to visit the UAE, you will want to keep these things in mind and make sure to check your eligibility before you make plans.
