Minister Smriti Irani Welcomes Indians Evacuated From Ukraine In Different Languages

Stranded Indian nationals in war-torn Ukraine are slowly being evacuated through India’s “Operation Ganga”. After days of walking to Ukraine borders, bearing harsh cold, with little to eat and drink, they have been through tragic situations. With special evacuation flights by Air India, IndiGo and Spicejet, Indian nationals are brought home safe. Union Minister Smriti Irani in a video can be seen welcoming students in different regional languages in an IndiGo flight.

Union Minister Smriti Irani Thanks Evcauted Nationals For Courage Shown

In a viral video tweeted by news agency ANI, Union Minister Smriti Irani is seen welcoming Indian nationals in their native language. The minister greeted the students in Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi and Bangla. She asked who were from Kerala, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra and welcomed them home in their mother tongue. Smriti Irani spoke in the public address system and lauded the evacuated Indians for showing exemplary courage in the most challenging times. She stated that she was grateful to them for the resilience, courage and patience shown. Thanking the airlines and crew for their service, she led the announcement with the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai“.

Roses Handed To Evacuated Indian Nationals

In yet another video, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh is seen interacting with Indian students evacuated from Ukraine. Reassuring them, he revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is putting all the efforts needed to bring back other students as well. He then goes on to hand out roses and urges them to chant the slogan “Bharat Mata ki Jai“.
