India celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and happiness on September 7. Janmashtami is an Indian festival that is celebrated to mark Lord Krishna’s birth. It is believed that it rained heavily the day he was born. And keeping up with that, many states in India witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall, including Mumbai. The city is and will be witnessing heavy rainfall for a few more days, according to the weather report. Looking at this, Mumbai Airport has issued an advisory for travellers.
Mumbai Airport Issues Heavy Rainfall Advisory

Mumbai welcomed Lord Krishna with very heavy rainfall in the city. The preceding days had been super dry, and this sudden heavy rainfall on this auspicious occasion surely added to the happiness of the festival. But with heavy rainfall comes a lot of trouble for daily commuters and also travellers.
Looking at the heavy rainfall that the city is currently witnessing, Mumbai Airport, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), has issued an advisory.

Through this advisory, the airport has asked passengers to check the status of their flight with their respective airlines. This will help them know the schedule of their flight better and accordingly manage their time. It also asked people to leave for the airport early so that they wouldn’t get caught in the traffic congestion.
