The Vande Bharat trains are all the rage in the country lately. These semi high-speed trains are said to change the entire experience of travelling via trains. The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, has flagged off a number of Vande Bharats recently. Now, Vande Bharat will commence on a new route. The new Mumbai to Goa Vande Bharat will soon be here and it is said to significantly cut down the time it takes to travel between the two regions.

This Vande Bharat express is the 19th one to be flagged off. The PM will be present virtually to flag off the run from Mumbai to Goa. The official flagging off ceremony will be on the 3rd of June.

This particular train is designed to provide the passengers with a plush and comfortable ride that reaches destination faster than other options available. Mumbai is 586 kilometres away from Goa. Currently, the fastest option to Goa is the Tejas Express which takes around 8 hours and 50 minutes to reach.

Via Vande Bharat, however, you can cover the same distance within less than eight hours. The train is also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like automatic doors, ambient lighting, rotating chairs, etc.

Schedule, Timings, & Ticket Prices

This Vande Bharat Express will function six days a week, from Saturday to Thursday. It will not function on Fridays. Its departure is scheduled at 5:25 AM from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or the CSMT in Mumbai and will reach Madgaon in Goa at 1:15 PM.

It will then again depart from Madgaon at 2:35 PM and arrive at CSMT at 10:25 PM. The train will stop at a total of 11 stations. They are Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, and Thivim before arriving at the station in Madgaon.

The price for the train differs. It has two classes, the AC Chair Car and the Executive Chair Car. For the former, prices can vary from ₹1,100 and ₹1,600. For the latter, the prices can be anywhere between ₹2,000 and ₹2,800.
