Amit Shah Will Inaugurate Fast Track Immigration System
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch this fascinating service at seven airports on January 16. From Ahmedabad, he will inaugurate the FTI-TTP facility at airports in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. On June 22, 2024, Amit Shah introduced the Fast Track Immigration system at Terminal 3 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
With Amit Shah inaugurating the facility, it will be implemented at a total of eight Indian airports. The plan is to launch the programme in 21 airports nationwide. This pivotal programme is an initiative under the ‘Viksit Bharat’@2047 vision. The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Programme is a significant step implemented to provide faster immigration for pre-verified passengers boarding flights for international trips. Biometric authentication plays a huge role in simplifying the process.
This system is particularly for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders and they can make the best out of it for zero cost. It aims to offer the best immigration facilities and provide smoother, more convenient and secure travel experiences.
