Nova House in Mira Road doesn’t try to impress you loudly, but you will definitely get pulled in quietly. Royal colours wrap the space in warmth, the lighting stays easy on the eyes, and the banging beats make you want to linger. The space feels polished but not intimidating. The kind of place where you can show up hungry, curious, and ready to experiment with flavours. And trust me, this menu encourages curiosity.
I Visited Nova House In Mira Road And Fell Hard For Its Bold Fusion Plates
Nova House is a standalone property that houses a restaurant, a club-like space, a banquet with the capacity of 250-300 people and 18 hotel rooms that include 4 suites. A tall tree with branches and trunk drapped in fairy lights welcomes you at the door. Guests can choose their dining experience between indoor and the alfresco setup. After giving a tour of the property, we finally sat down to the fusion plates that didn’t disappoint.
Starters & Salads That Refuse To Play Safe

We kicked things off with the Thai Papaya Salad, and it immediately set the tone. Crisp papaya, a jaggery-forward sweetness, and bird’s-eye chilli heat and crushed peanuts. It was a perfect balance of sour, sweet and spicy flavours.
Next came Pick Me Up, which honestly lives up to its name. Arugula, hummus, red quinoa, grilled pineapple, and toasted almonds come together with a raisin mustard vinaigrette that ties everything neatly. It’s earthy, tangy, slightly sweet, and surprisingly filling.
Then arrived the Dal Pakwan Tostadas, and this is where Nova House flexes. Indian flavours meet a crunchy tostada base, layered with avocado and sirka pyaz. You might feel it familiar, but by the end bite, you understand it’s completely reimagined.
The 911 Chicken Wings bring the heat, and they’re sticky, spicy, and indulgent. The Malai Broccoli surprised me. Cream cheese, broccoli, and spicy tomato chutney might sound predictable, but the balance is spot on. Smoky edges, creamy centre, and a chutney that actually brings heat instead of sweetness.
The Saffron Paneer Tikka lands somewhere between indulgent and elegant. Soft cottage cheese, cream, brown onion, and saffron come together without overpowering each other. The Chicken Cheese Alishan Tikka comes suspended on hooks in a frame. Juicy chicken, molten cheese, and pesto chutney lifts the dish instead of drowning it.
Sushi With A Desi Passport
Nova House doesn’t shy away from fusion rolls, and honestly, that’s the best bit.
The Yakuza Purple Rice Roll brings enoki tempura crunch, spicy mayo, and bell pepper tartar into one satisfying bite..
Green House California keeps things classic with asparagus, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and sriracha mayo..
How could we miss out on Dim Sums? Crystal Veg with water chestnut, carrot, and celery feels clean and refreshing. Spinach & Corn Cheese goes richer, with cream cheese filling.
The Asparagus & Chicken Chilli Oil roll deserves a mention as the chilli oil added warmth without overpowering the chicken.

Mains That Mean Business
The Butterfly Grilled Chicken arrives juicy and confident, paired with brown butter mash, sautéed vegetables, and a red wine jus with wild mushrooms that actually tasted amazing. The Grilled Cottage Cheese Steak comes plated like a proper main. Firm, well-grilled paneer served with spaghetti and pepper coulis was indulgent.
Dessert That Ends On A Cracking Note
The House Of Coconut Shell is a clever, comforting finish. Subtle sweetness, coconut-forward flavours, and a presentation that feels thoughtful without being flashy. A calm ending to a very exciting meal.
Final Verdict
Nova House doesn’t chase trends. but builds its own. The fusion here feels intentional, while the dishes respect their roots while adding a bit of fun. If you’re in Mira Road and want food that surprises without confusing and leaving you with regret, this place deserves a table on your list.
