Aaliya Ahuja, founder of Uppu, expressed her thoughts on the launch and said, “For us, it all began with a simple Sunday ritual: my dad, his favourite South Indian joint, a plate of idli, and that same corner table. That feeling of comfort, rhythm, and food that feels like home is what Uppu is all about. We’re not chasing newness; we’re holding on to what’s always felt right. Honest flavours, made with care. The kind of meals that take you back, even if just for a moment.”

So, whether you are craving an authentic South Indian meal or want to unwind with a cup of filter coffee, Uppu in Bandra should be your next go-to place.

Behind all the dishes is the consulting chef Naveen, who has over 35 years of experience working with brands such as The Leela and the iconic Konkan Cafe at Taj President. He will be working with assistant chefs to bring these authentic South Indian flavours to your table.
