Fresh out of MasterChef Australia’s latest Back To Win season, Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary have landed in Mumbai for a short vacation. Declan, known for his “fish game”, started his Mumbai darshan with a walk on the beach, followed by a thali. A reel uploaded by the chef on Instagram has Sarah noticing that he seemed like a “kid in a candy store”. The Aussie celebrity chef’s first Mumbai meal, a thali, was polished and relished.
Day 2 for the couple was all about ticking the most touristy things off the list. They didn’t miss out on the opportunity to have photo-op moments at the Gateway of India and The Taj Mahal Palace. With seafood lover Declan in Mumbai, his beau, Sarah, had to pamper him with a meal at Trishna. Donning the signature black aprons, the couple messily dived into the signature Butter Garlic Crab. “It’s everything you want it to be and more,” exclaimed Sarah while taking in the invigorating smell.

Later, Sarah Todd ( who should’ve got an Indian passport by now) had to make Declan do the most desi thing in Mumbai — take up a Pani Puri challenge. A first-timer in India, the MasterChef Australia alum downed 10 Pani Puris at Elco in less than 30 seconds, leaving Sarah proud of turning him into a desi boy on just Day 3. Their Mumbai trip couldn’t have been complete without a late-night bite at Bademiya and a quick visit to Veronica’s for juicy burgers.
Well, MasterChef Australia fans, Sarah and Declan’s Mumbai holiday would certainly have you planning one as well. At least it’s time to bookmark their favourite spots on your next trip.
