More About The Project
Elevators, staircases, food stalls, restrooms, ticket counters, and a few offices are a part of this swanky elevated deck. Also, there are booking offices at the deck and platform levels, according to a report by Knocksense. To provide more comfort to commuters and make them feel relaxed in the crowd, High Volume Low Speed fans are installed. These also focus on better air circulation.
Western Railway spent a budget of ₹4.55 crore to build a foot over bridge. This connects Khar and Bandra Terminus seamlessly. Now, the deck will help in decongesting extreme footfall on Bandra Station due to this new link.
