Mysore Pak Is The World’s 14th Best Street Food Sweet
TasteAtlas, an experiential online travel guide for traditional food recently released its ‘Top 50 Best Street Food Sweets In The World’ list. Mysore Pak, a sweet from the princely city of Mysore in Karnataka grabbed the 14th spot. Made of gram flour, sugar and ghee, this melt-in-the-mouth fudgy dessert was first prepared in the royal palace kitchen. Today, it’s an utter delight to bite into a warm piece of Mysore Park, prepared at a street food eatery, on a cold day.

Portugal’s Egg Custard Tart Takes 1st Place!
The first place on the coveted list goes to Pastel De Nata from Portugal. This is the famous Portuguese egg custard tart that’s now famous all across the world for its indulgent nature and aromatic cinnamon flavours. The second and third places are held by Indonesia’s Serabi, a pancake made of coconut milk and Turkey’s Dondurma, the famous Turkish ice cream, respectively.

2 Other Indian Sweets Make It To The List!
The fourth and fifth places go to South Korea’s Hotteok, a sweet pancake and Thailand’s Pa Thong Ko, a deep-fried sweet. Meanwhile, two other desi sweets made it to the list. Our beloved Kulfi took the 18th rank and Kulfi Falooda stood at 32nd rank. Both are extremely popular street food desserts in North and West India, popular as a summer cooler.
