The National Common Mobility Card, now operational on the Aqua Line connecting Dahisar East to Gundavali, allows seamless travel across various modes of public transport. The card can be used not only for metro rides but also for buses, suburban railways, toll booths, and even retail purchases.
As reported by NewsDrum, the NCMC follows the RuPay card standard and is issued by partner banks. The card’s interoperable nature allows travellers to use a single payment method in multiple cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune.

The broader plan includes extending NCMC access to other metro lines and transport systems in Maharashtra. As India pushes for smart city upgrades, this launch serves as a milestone in building future-ready infrastructure.
