The glitzy Opus building in Business Bay has opened the newest cocktail bar with sushi and innovative cuisine options. Neon lights, vivid colours, and quirky touches all across the design create a sensory overload that is significantly different from the typical UAE flashy-yet-conservative aesthetic.

There is a charming outdoor patio area with solitude offered by the shrubs, as well as a homage to Asian culture with neon signage depicting Kimono-clad ladies and gigantic Chinese dragons inhabiting the bar. The metal slates have also been painted with neon salmon, which can only be appreciated aesthetically from a particular vantage point. This exhibit displays outstanding care for detail that is worth noticing.

Surprising ain’t it? This place which holds Salmon in the title doesn’t have it on the menu. The theory goes this way! Salmon is considered to be an elite fish which is a metaphor for the visitors that come here in search of the best Asian food and are culinary Gurus. Hence the name.

But don’t be disappointed as the menu is full of finger food and sharing plates. The wagyu was presented in a smoking glass dish, and the Baba Ghanoush was served in a precious silver dish with a long spoon; every aspect of this bar was carefully chosen.

So if you want to feast your eyes on amazing interiors and the best Asian dishes, then Salmon Guru should be your ultimate go-to destination in Dubai.
