The Golconda Fort in Hyderabad hardly needs any introduction. However, soon this centuries-old heritage site is going to feature dynamic 3D mapping projection. Yes, embracing state-of-the-art technology with high-resolution projectors, moving heads, and laser lights, the tourist experience is bound to be enhanced! Here’s all about this massive development.

New 3D Project Light & Sound Show At The Golconda Fort

According to a report by the Hindu, it was revealed that a new light and sound show is going to be inaugurated at the Golconda Fort. The inauguration is going to be done by G Kishan Reddy, who is the Union Minister for Tourism, Culture & Development of the Northeast region. The minister is also going to inaugurate the facade illumination at the fort on Wednesday, January 24.

Talking about the show, is going to be 30 minutes and 20 seconds long and is going to be in Telugu, Hindi, and English. The architectural facade will be illuminated in warm white lights while the entry and Baradari Hall will have a tricolour pattern. It should be noted that the facade will be used to reveal the glorious story that spans across 800 years. Not to mention, it’s going to be replacing the existing light and sound show! For those who don’t know, this was first launched in 1993 with fixed lights and pre-recorded soundtracks.

A Brief Glimpse Into The History Of The Fort

In fact, several notable names will also be participating in the event, which includes former Union Minister and matinee idol, Chiranjeevi. As it happens, Vijayendra Prasad, Rajya Sabha MP and an eminent writer will also be a part of this event. In case you aren’t aware, the Golconda Fort is one of the most famous and biggest fortresses in the Deccan Plateau. Under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India, it was built in the 11th century.

So, once the light and sound show begins, the interesting 3-D projection is bound to bring in several tourists.
