What is it about?

Excited about the opening and can’t wait to know more? We have got you all the available details so that you can already start planning your Christmas and New Year shopping. This new Ikea is all set to be the biggest one in Dubai in addition to the existing Ikea stores in Dubai Festival City and Yas Mall of Abu Dhabi.

And, unlike the existing one, the new store will also let you design your home before you buy a product. Wondering how? The new Ikea store will have digital projectors in-store that will let you scale measurements and also fit in furnishings to test how it will look.

In addition, the new store will focus on sustainability and waste reduction. As an initiative towards this, the new store will be fitted with solar panels which will generate 20% of electricity to run the store. This also means, the store will save electricity enough to power 400 homes.

Spread across a sprawling location of 30,000 square meters, the store will take care of your furnishing needs and offer you home fittings and fixtures and homeware like cutlery and gardening tools. If you have a taste for quality contemporary and modern furniture, Ikea is where you have to be. This Ikea store is a part of Al Futtaim’s latest mall offering Festival Mall.

What Else Do We Know?

Festival Mall shall be a part of the new residential area- Wasl Gate providing easy access to Dubai Marina & JLT near Jebel Ali. So for all the Dubai folks, come this December, they have a new mall to head to that will house as many as 120 stores, an expansive 500 seat food court and a kid’s club amongst its many amenities.

The mall is also set to be home to marquee stores like ACE, M&S and Lulu Hypermarket to ensure all your retail needs are taken care of. For all the expat fans of Lulu, this new store will also bring in a live Sushi counter to satiate your hunger in addition to its usual grocery offerings.
