New Report Suggests That Bangalore Partied The Hardest This New Year’s Eve

You know it was going to be a Happy New Year in Bangalore when a police force were deployed in important junctions for safety and Namma Metro was open till 2 am. And the stage was set for a happening New year indeed. New reports suggest that Bangalore partied the hardest this New Year’s Eve. A survey conducted by Ola revealed that Bangalore registered the most number of trips, around 23% of the total trips to and from party areas like Koramangala, Whitefield and Central Business District. However, it was a welcoming surprise that people preferred partying in close intimate gatherings with their friends and families rather than commercial avenues. So party in style right?

Come New Year, and we often read about exclusive parties, having towering covering charges, unlimited booze flowing and lavish buffets servings. The midnight fireworks, international dance performances and popular DJ’s do seem to attract us to amazing parties. But how many of us actually end up going to such happening parties? Well, Bangaloreans have answered this for as. Trends suggest that there has been a whopping 20% increase in the total number of people attending house parties this year. After all its company that matters right?

Housing some of the finest breweries in town, restaurants serving global cuisines, happening nightclubs and even party avenues like Brigade Road, Bangalore folks topped the partygoer’s list in India. Research conducted by Ola states Bangalore registered the most number of trips, around 23% of total trips taken were to and from party areas, followed closely by Mumbai (22%) and Delhi NCR(20%).  Did you know Bangalore Is India’s Top Ranked City In The Global Prosperity Index?

Call it weekday blues, but it’s surprising to know that on an average people stepped out for parties between 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm on New Year’s Eve and returned back between 12:30 am to 1:30 am. That’s quite quick to wrap up a party, but you’re getting the next day off for New Year, then why not catch up on some beauty sleep! Whatever said and done, great company, foot-tapping music, delicious food and a night of unforgettable memories definitely made it to every partygoer’s list, be it a house party or a commercial event. But for now, every Bangalorean had a great New Year’s eve thanks to the arrangements made by the police force and the metro, to name a few. New Year’s Eve might have been a blast, but time to look forward to many more happening parties this year.
