Desi Garden In NYC Introduces Diners To Indian-Mexican Fusion Food
Restaurateur PriaVanda Chouhan is known for launching Desi Galli, a fast-casual restaurant for Indian food, 8 years ago. While Desi Galli has spread the aroma of desi khaana all across New York thanks to their kathi rolls and rice bowls, Chouhan’s regular customers wanted something more. During the Covid pandemic, her regular customers craved a wholesome dining experience beyond the usual fast-casual menu. According to TimeOut, she decided to open a full-fledged restaurant, Desi Garden in the Big Apple.

Ingredients Are Picked Fresh From Chef PriaVanda Chouhan’s Garden
Guests can enjoy an elaborate sit-down tasting menu consisting of a platter of Indian-Mexican fusion dishes. The food is prepared with fresh vegetables and herbs picked directly from Chef Chouhan’s garden. So it’s a lovely farm to table dining experience. The 7-course tasting menu is priced at $49 (₹3638 ). It features delicious Indo-Mexican dishes like Chicken Tikka Tacos, Paneer Empanadas, Meat Quesadillas, a spicy margarita and special churros for dessert. There are both meat and vegetarian options available. You can choose to dine-in or takeaway.
