Yes, the Emirates NBD which is based in Dubai is offering its customers this digital bank statement for free. Those who aren’t aware, bank statements with digital stamps can be used for several purposes, which include even applying for loans.

In a report by Khaleej Times, it was revealed that the bank will also offer traditional paper statements to those customers who request them. these bank statements are used for several purposes but mostly for visa applications that are required by foreign missions in the UAE. A healthy bank statement helps the person applying for the visa and get the required documents for travelling to countries like Europe, the US, and other advanced nations.

Dubai Emirates NBD Becomes First UAE Lender To Do So

It’s worth noting that digitally stamped bank statements may be accepted by some countries. Yes, the acceptance varies between countries and specific institutions. In fact, some consulates and embassies also require digitally stamped documents while there are others that still require traditional physical stamps. So, customers who need physically stamped bank statements can apply on the bank’s website or even on the call centre. At this point, it’s worth noting that this is the first lender in the UAE based in Dubai that is offering the digital stamp facility.

On the website, a maximum of six months’ statement can be requested. And if a customer requires a stamped statement of more than six months and up to 3 years, they will have to visit the nearest branch before 2 PM. They must visit with their Emirates ID or passport for identification. The best part about digitally stamped bank statements is that they can be accessed anytime and anywhere.
