The tour along the Narmada river was announced at an event, as reported by The Times Of India. It was also discussed that the Narmada Tour would be of 15 days and 14 nights. The packages will be starting at ₹63,000 to ₹78,000. All the packages will include transportation, accommodation and even meals. Moreover, with such a long tour in the plan, the charges for the tour of the holy Narmada river are reasonable.

The tourism department has decided the tour duration to be of 15 days and 14 nights. With such a long itinerary in place, the tour will begin from the city of Jabalpur. The tour will then move from Jabalpur to Amarkantak, Mandla, Kareli, Hoshangabad, Handia, Omkareshwar, Rajpipla, Khatpor, Mithi Talai, Barodra, Jhabua, Maheshwar, Ujjain, Salkanpur, Budni. After visiting these places, the visitors will finally return to Jabalpur. Simultaneously, the tour will also begin from Indore and Bhopal. Before returning to these destinations, the visitors will tour the cities of Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Rajpipla, Kathpor, Mithi Talai, Jhabua, Mandu, Maheshwar, Salkanpur, Jabalpur, Amarkantak, Mandla, Kareli, Hoshangabad, Omkareshwar.
